Zi Sweet — Brand new Shopify Store.

With a focus on elaborate and show-stopping designs, Zi Sweet maintains a steadfast belief that beautiful aesthetics should never come at the expense of flavour.

As a business centred on modernising traditional style baking, Zi Sweet’s site sits at an intersection between classic and contemporary. Building its online platform on Shopify allowed us to provide the flexibility required to accommodate its varied range of flavours, styles and other sweet offerings while creating an effortless and engaging user journey.

The brief for Zi Sweet’s site was to create an online portal that focused on developing an effortless and engaging customer journey. We prioritised user flow through the site’s streamlined navigation and interactive elements. In contrast with Zi Sweet’s intricate and elaborate designs, the site is deceptively simple, allowing attention to be drawn towards the products themselves.

The hero images of Zi Sweet’s edible masterpieces are made all the more enticing by the hover animations that encourage users to journey through the site. We used hover effects throughout the platform in conjunction with CTAs to direct users to the heart of the site: the ordering suite.

Our favourite feature of Zi Sweet’s digital platform is the ordering suite; the highly customisable e-commerce centre of the site. With a fully bespoke system, customers can control every aspect of their order, including the size, shape, colour and flavour of their cake.

The options are endless and accessible, giving customers the ability to create their perfect cake with the click of a button. From custom messages and colour combos to dietary and decorative extras, a myriad of possibilities are available to explore in an easy-to-use, drop-down style menu. Each option is accompanied by Zi Sweet’s personal recommendations, helping to guide the customer through the choices and improve the UX.

Also on display is Zi Sweet’s scroll-through catalogue of signature designs. Here, we showcase Zi Sweet’s expertise with a range of cakes for all occasions, from weddings and birthdays to Christmas and Valentines'. These options are also customisable and available in a pre-designed or custom colour palate. Once a cake is selected, customers are taken straight to an order customisation page for their chosen product.
